In 1998, Gerald and Cecille travelled from South Africa to set up this café and 22 years later Julian is still running the family business.

Gerald and Cecille were the owners of a number of successful hospitality businesses in South Africa.
After searching Sydney far and wide they found a sandwich store in the heart of Double Bay in 1998.
It was called “Michaels Charcuterie”
Just like old times
“Michaels Charcuterie” had its fair share of shake ups.
3 years after opening a renovation took place, then again 8 years later and one final shake up 12 years later.
Their mantra was and remains amazing personal service and indisputable cleanliness and hygiene along with super fresh and healthy salads and sandwiches.
